2002:

August:

Early in August, is when I decided I wanted to try to make a web site. I didn't need to think about what it should be about at all, as the obvious choice was my favorite game, EarthBound. So after a bit of procrastinating, I found a web site that teaches basic HTML, as I didn't know any, and knew little enough about building web sites that I didn't know I could have made one without knowing it. So on the 30th, I got a Geocities account and stuff, and toyed around with some extremely basic HTML. Then, the next day, I created a title image (which was really cruddy) that displayed the site's name: STAREYe's EarthBound site. I then created the EB, EB0, and EB64 sections which all had an 'under construction' message/image. They were linked to by means of a drop-down menu, unlike the leftbar we have today.

September:

This is when the site really began, as I started working on making the site worth visiting. The first thing I did was add a links section, and put some information about EB in it's section. I was then added to the Starmen.net links section, which was when I started to get some real visitors. Over the month I added some info and pictures to the game sections, and added the Flukes, Polls and Trivia sections.

October:

Not much happened this month, besides the site climbing in quality. I got the Frequently updated site icon by the sites name at Starmen.net, which pulled in plenty of visitors, added the Mr Saturn background, and organized the files of the site so I could do things easier, and on Halloween I changed the background from the Mr Saturns to Zombies.

November:

November was an awesome month. SEBS was made Site Spotlight over at Starmen.net, which greatly increased visitors and updates alike. Also, the layout became a step closer to what it is today, as I I removed the drop-down menu and replaced it with a leftbar using frames.

December:

I created the image-links for the left-bar, as I couldn't find a text colour that stood out from the background and didn't look annoying. Then, I discovered I hated frames, and switched to tables, and added the title banner we have today, which looks very good compared to the old one, which I'll see if I can find. Not much else happened, but I updated a lot.

2003:

January:

January was a great month for the site. It boasted the highest visitor count yet (1049 over the whole month), and was when I got my own computer, and was able to do a bit more work on the site. I don't think anything particularly exiting happened, but it was still a great month.

Febuary:

Ugh. Just when the site was becoming super awesome, I went on vacation. Not that I wish I hadn't gone, I quite enjoyed it, but SEBS suffered. 294 visitors, which is pretty good considering the site was dead all month, but is still only about 40 above my highest week.

March:

I got back from vacation, but was in an "Oh blah I don't wanna go back to working" sort of mood, and March was pretty much a dead month too. But I did make the Fancomics section that I had put off since early January.

April:

About halfway through April, I got back into SEBS. I made an apology update for my lack of work, started working to earn back the great amount of visitors I used to get. But still I couldn't quite earn back my Frequently Updated Site icon with less than half a month. But something important did happen, I met a fellow called StealthShadow, who made message boards for the site.

May:

In May things really bounced back up. I started the month by updating every day for 10 days, then I managed to still update frequently through the rest of the month. I also got on staff a EarthBound IPM, and got SEBS hosted space there, meaning no more popups or ads of any kind!

June

In June I added fanart and Mother 1+2 sections, worked on the new design a bit, and Stealth got vB message boards for the site.

July

My summer was fairly busy, so not much happened thism month.

August

Halfway through August, I realized I hadn't updated for nearly a month! I managed to slip in a few updates though, and also changed the whole site into shtml.
