Hello, and welcome to my column. I'm Eddy Everling, and I've come from my home on the outskirts of Twoson to travel the country in search of news fit for you to hear.

Today, I've driven out east to Dusty Dunes Desert, to get the scoop on what's been happening with those miners. Gossip gathering residents of Threed and Fourside may have heard of these fellows, Gerardo and George Montague. After a bit of searching through the desert, I found their small home, and Gerardo (George was deep in the mine at the time) agreed to answer a few questions.

Reporter Everling: So, how has mining been since the chosen four helped you out with your mole problem?

Gerardo: Chosen four? Who're they?

RE: Ness, Paula, Jeff, and Poo? The four kids who saved the world from destruction by an evil alien?

Gerardo: Hey, I recognize the first three o' those names, they saved the world?

RE: Yeah, how on earth could you not know about it?

Gerardo: *rolls eyes* Why o' course, I should walk miles to the bus stop to catch a ride to Fourside to get the mornin' paper each day. Then I can hear all about how someone is gettin' power hungry and ruinin' the city.

RE: I see your point. So anyway, how have things been out here since Ness and co. cleared out the moles?

Gerardo: Oh, all right. We havn' hit anythin' big yet, but enough to keep goin'.

RE: And monsters, have you met any more of them?

Gerardo: Nope, I reckon them moles was their leader, and they got scared and ran off when those kids beat 'em up.

RE: Well, that's good. Thanks for you're time, I'll see if we can't get the ENC delivered out here.

Gerardo: Thanks! If we ever find anythin' I'll let'cha know.

Well, there you have it folks, no news on the mining scene, but things are going all right. Join me next week as I interveiw another forgotton citizen of Eagleland you never cared enough to find out about.
