Starman Jr.
HP: 200
PP: 999
SPD: 1
OFF: 11
DEF: 10
Location: Near Ness's House on the way back from the meteorite withh Buzz Buzz

Starman Jr. is the first boss you will fight. Thanks to Buzz Buzz, this battle is really easy. There's no way you can lose. Starman Jr. uses only PSI attacks, but Buzz Buzz will use a PSI-Blocking shield on everyone. After using the sheild, in the next turn Buzz Buzz will hit the enemy causing a lot of damage. This pattern will follow until Starman Jr. is dead.

Frank
HP: 63
PP: 0
SPD: 7
OFF: 12
DEF: 17
Location: In the backyard of the Arcade in Onett

Before fighting this battle its a good idea to get some good equipment and goods. The Cheap Bracelet, Tee-Ball Bat, and Mr. Baseball Cap will really help out a lot in defense and offense. Its also a good idea to stock up on Hamburgers. In this battle you should just use regular attacks. When HP gets close to around 20 or below use Life-Up Alpha or a Hamburger. This battle shouldn't be hard if you're at the right level.

Frankystein Mark ll
HP: 91
PP: 0
SPD: 4
OFF: 15
DEF: 18
Location: In the backyard of the Arcade in Onett

Right after you beat Frank, he will make you fight his robot, Frankystein Mark ll. Frankystein's stats are higher but he is a lot easier to beat. His attacks don't do as much damage. He also doesn't attack on every turn. He follows a certain pattern. He will attack on turn one and turn two he will blow out steam and will continue to follow this pattern. If HP runs low use Life-Up Alpha or a Hamburger.

Titanic Ant (First Santuary Guardian)
HP: 235
PP: 102
SPD: 6
OFF: 19
DEF: 23
Location: Giant Step (Onett)

This is the first of eight santuary location battles. This one isn't too hard, but it can be if you don't have many hamburgers. Before getting here, there is something important you should do in Giant Step. The outside area that connects the two caves usually has a magic butterfly. Keep entering and exiting the cave until you get enough butterflies to restore your energy. When you enter the battle the first attack should be PSI Rockin Alpha (or whatever you named it). This will eliminate the two Black Antoids. Now you will only be fighting Titanic Ant. The easiest way to beat the Titanic Ant is with PSI Rockin. This might be a problem if you are at a lower level, don't have enough PP, or if you don't have many hamburgers and need to use Life Up Alpha. The you might need to use some regular attacks.

Crooked Cops
HP: 75
PP: 0
SPD: 5
OFF: 15
DEF: 18
Location: Onett Police Station

At the Police Station you will see five cops, but the last one runs away instead of fighting you. What makes this battle hard is that each cop is fought separately, but there is no breaks in between to heal yourself. The trick to getting through this is to bring hamburgers. When your getting low on HP use a hamburger right before the battle ends. After fighting the first cop you will learn how much it takes to defeat one cop. Do not use PSI Rockin (Special) because you will need it for the battle with Captain Strong, which comes up after you defeat the last cop.

Captain Strong
HP: 140
PP: 0
SPD: 6
OFF: 25
DEF: 35
Location: Onett Police Station

Captain Strong has a strong special attack, but if you saved you PSI power, you can easily defeat him with PSI Rockin. If you did not save your PSI Power you should try regular attacks and hamburgers to heal yourself.

Everdred
HP: 182
PP: 0
SPD: 15
OFF: 20
DEF: 24
Location: Burglin Park in Twoson

Everdred is not very hard. You should be able to defeat him easily. Since you don't have to go through any dungeon to get to him you should have full PSI Power. That means you can use LifeUp and Rockin to defeat him quickly.

Carpainter
HP: 262
PP: 70
SPD: 8
OFF: 33
DEF: 45
Location: Happy Happy Village Cult Office

Don't fight this crazy guy until you find Paula and get the Franklin Badge from her. Once you have that, Carpainter's thunder attacks will be reflected back to him. Now it is just another easy battle! Carpainter can use PSI Physic Shield Alpha, but it shouldn't cause much of a problem.

Mondo Mole (Second Santuary Guardian)
HP: 498
PP: 161
SPD: 9
OFF: 37
DEF: 50
Location: Lilliput Steps (Happy Happy Village)

Mondo Mole is the second guardian you will face. He is the strongest enemy you will face so far. It doesn't help that Paula is weak and faints quickly. You should level her up a bit before going in to actually fight Mondo Mole. When you do, try to avoid fights with the bears, they can easily kill her. Mondo Mole is easily affected by Paralysis. You can use it to stop his powerful attacks. He can still use PSI and he usually uses PSI Physic Shield. Ness's physical attacks are enough to beat him, though.
NOTE: If you keep trying and keep losing you can pass this battle. As long as you have Paula in your group you can continue going without fighting Mondo Mole at this time.

Boogey Tent
HP: 579
PP: 56
SPD: 10
OFF: 43
DEF: 69
Location: Southern Threed

Once Jeff joins the group, a tent will soon appear in the middle of the circus wagons. The tent is strong against attacks like PSI Rockin' and PSI Freeze. It's best if Ness just uses normal attacks, since they do about the same damage as PSI Rockin' and they are free. Paula's PSI Fire works well. If Jeff still has his Big Bottle Rocket, it will do over 200 HP of damage.

Master Belch
HP: 650
PP: 0
SPD: 16
OFF: 50
DEF: 88
Location: Belch's Base

After fighting Boogie Tent, a trash can appears. You get the Fly Honey from it. Well, now its time to use the Fly Honey. Belch loses his mind when he sees it. Now use your strongest PSI powers.

Trillionage Sprout (Third Santuary Guardian)
HP: 1048
PP: 240
SPD: 16
OFF: 54
DEF: 88
Location: Milky Well (Saturn Valley)

This is another one of those battles that is hard because of the enemies fought before the battle. It's easy to get a mushroom on your head on the way to fight the Trillionage Sprout. The battle isn't too hard. You should use strong PSI attacks like Rockin, Fire, and Freeze. Be careful, because the Trillionage Sprout can use a shield that blocks PSI powers. Bottle Rockets work well when the shield is in use.

Guardian Digger
HP: 386
PP: 110
SPD: 17
OFF: 59
DEF: 129
Location: Five different locations inside the Dusty Dunes Mine.

They all say they are the third strongest, but they are all the same. They have a shield that reflects normal attacks. If someone is not attacking, use the defend option to avoid extra damage. The shield will disappear after three physical attacks though. I found two strategies that will kill a mole with only one turn. If you have the PSI, Ness should use PSI Special Beta and Paula should use PSI Freeze Beta. Since there are five moles, you might need to use recovery powers in the mine and you might not have all the PSI to kill every one of them this way. Jeff's Big Bottle Rockets will kill a mole in one hit. This is probably a better way because you can save your PSI for smaller battles and recovery. Just remember to bring five Big Bottle Rockets to the mine. Also make sure they are in his inventory because only he can use them.

Department Store Spook
HP: 610
PP: 290
SPD: 19
OFF: 82
DEF: 135
Location: Fourside Department Store

After exploring the Fourside Department Store for the first time, the lights will go out. You will have to fight the Dept. Store Spook in the office at the top floor. Besides not having aid from Paula, this battle is a little harder because the Department Store Spook can use PSI Freeze. Luckily he has no special shields to make attacking him any harder. Big Bottle Rockets do over 300 damage and at least one should be used. Ness should use physical attacks or PSI Rockin Beta.

Mani Mani
HP: 860
PP: 88
SPD: 15
OFF: 86
DEF: 145
Location: Moonside

The Mani Mani is what made Moonside. In order to get out of it, Mani Mani must be defeated. It isn't very hard to defeat. It uses mostly regular attacks and occassionally PSI Paralysis. PSI Rockin Beta works well and it can do around 150 to 200 damamge.

Clumbsy Robot
HP: 962
PP: 0
SPD: 83
OFF: 88
DEF: 137
Location: Monotoli Building

This strange robot guards the enterance to Mr. Monotoli's office. It is impossible to defeat this robot on your own. This robot has a psychic shield, so PSI powers will not do anything. It also has the power to recover all of its HP. However, after a while the Runaway 5 will show up and put an end to the battle.

Shrooom (Fourth Santuary Guardian)
HP: 1700
PP: 112
SPD: 18
OFF: 95
DEF: 154
Location: Rainy Circle (Winters)

Shrooom guards the fourth "Your Santuary" location. This mushroom has the powers that all the small mushrooms have, such as scattering spores. It also has the power to use PSI Rockin, which does a lot of damage. PSI Fire and PSI Rockin both work well against it.

Plague Rat of Doom (Fifth Santuary Guardian)
HP: 1827
PP: 60
SPD: 19
OFF: 71
DEF: 180
Location: Magnet Hill (Fourside)

The Plague Rat of Doom uses mostly Smaaash attacks which do much more damage than a normal attack. That is what makes this battle different from the usual boss battle. You can expect more damage than usual, so be ready to restore your HP if necessary. PSI Fire, Freeze, and Rockin' all work well against this rat.

Thunder and Storm (Sixth Santuary Guardian)
HP: 2065
PP: 70
SPD: 21
OFF: 111
DEF: 178
Location: Pink Cloud Cave

Thunder and Storm are very powerful. As you might expect they can use Thunder-type attacks. Since Paula has the least amount of HP and important PSI powers, she should have the Franklin Badge in her inventory. If a Thunder attack hits her it will be deflected back to Thunder and Storm. They can also do an attack that does over 300 HP of damage. Basically, this attack can kill anyone except Ness. PSI Freeze attacks work really well and PSI Rockin works good.

Kraken
HP: 1097
PP: 176
SPD: 21
OFF: 105
DEF: 166
Location: Ocean Between Summers and Scaraba

Kraken isn’t too bad. It can use a fire-type attack and a thunder-type attack. If, you have the Franklin Badge, it will deflect the thunder attacks when it hits that person. Paula should hold it, since she has the least HP and the best PSI Powers. Hitting Kraken with Freeze works really well.

Guardian General
HP: 831
PP: 6
SPD: 21
OFF: 109
DEF: 214
Location: Scaraba Pyramid

Guardian General is very weak against psychic attacks. Continuous psychic powers, such as Rockin and Freeze, will finish him off.

Master Barf
HP: 1319
PP: 0
SPD: 24
OFF: 136
DEF: 177
Location: Deep Darkness

Though this is just Master Belch in a new form, this battle is not so easy. This time he will not fall for the Jar of Fly Honey trick. Master Barf basically has two attacks. He has Stinky Breath, which only causes the group to cry. His other attack is a continuous attack, which hit one person twice. Each hit causes over 100 HP of damage, so it could easily kill a person. Freeze and Rockin’ work well, as always. Toward the end of the battle Poo comes in and uses his new PSI Starstorm Alpha to finish Barf off.

Starman Deluxe
HP: 1400
PP: 418
SPD: 27
OFF: 143
DEF: 186
Location: Stonehenge Base

Starman Deluxe is very easy to beat, but it can be hard if you do not bring a Multi-Bottle Rocket. With a Multi-Bottle Rocket, you can instantly kill Starman Deluxe. If you don’t, you will have to try to beat him with physical attacks because he has a psychic shield that reflects psychic attacks.

Electro Specter (Seventh Santuary Guardian)
HP: 3092
PP: 80
SPD: 29
OFF: 148
DEF: 203
Location: Lumine Hall (Tenda Village)

Electro Specter has a psychic shield that deflects PSI powers back to the group. Weak PSI power that won’t cause the group to take too much damage should be used to eliminate the shield. Some good PSI powers to use to remove it are the Alpha versions Rockin’ or Freeze. Once the shield is gone hit it with your strongest PSI powers. PSI Freeze Omega seems to work really well.

Carbon Dog (Eighth Santuary Guardian)
HP: 1672
PP: 0
SPD: 31
OFF: 159
DEF: 174
Location: Fire Spring (Lost Underworld)

This battle is not as bad as you might expect. Carbon Dog has a shield for physical attacks and Carbon Dog has no real weakness. However Multi-Bottle Rockets and psychic attacks will work well.

Diamond Dog (Eighth Santuary Guardian)
HP: 3344
PP: 154
SPD: 31
OFF: 167
DEF: 230
Location: Fire Spring (Lost Underworld)

When you defeat Carbon Dog, it transforms into Diamond Dog and you have to also fight it. That is what makes this battle hard. Diamond Dog has no real weakness either. The same strategy used with Carbon Dog should also be used with Diamond Dog.

Ness' Nightmare
HP: 1654
PP: 882
SPD: 31
OFF: 172
DEF: 253
Location: Magicant

This battle is only between Ness and Ness’s Nightmare. Ness should not use his PSI powers to attack in this battle. Ness’s Nightmare has a shield that makes psychic attacks disappear. Ness’s Nightmare usually attack with PSI Rockin’ Alpha, but occasionally used PSI Rockin’ Omega. PSI Rockin’ Omega can kill Ness with one hit. When you get hit with this use the PSI Lifeup that fully restores one person’s HP. You should keep using physical attacks on Ness’s Nightmare. Eventually Ness’s Nightmare begins to use PSI Lifeup Beta. Around this time use a Bag of Dragonite if you have one. Then you should keep attacking it his physical attacks. It is also possible that Ness’s Nightmare can create a PSI Shield that deflects physical attacks. If it does this, you should keep attacking to destroy the shield, but watch your HP and restore if it starts to get low.

Heavily Armed Pokey
HP: 1746
PP: 999
SPD: 51
OFF: 150
DEF: 18
Location: The Past

Pokey isn’t too hard to beat. However he has really high defense. It is important not to use any PSI attacks that hit all of the enemies because if Giygas is hit in his first form, the attack is reflected back at any person in the group. Ness should hit Pokey with his bat. Paula should use her strongest PSI Freeze since that is her only strong PSI power that only hits one enemy and since her regular attack is not very strong. Jeff should use Multi-Bottle Rockets, although they don’t do too much damage. Poo should also use his strongest PSI Freeze for the same reason as Paula. If you continue attacking like this, you should be able to easily get through this part of the final battle.

Giygas

HP: 9999
PP: 0
SPD: 80
OFF: 255
DEF: 255
Location: The Past

After Pokey leaves the battle, you get to fight Giygas. In the first part of the battle, hit Giygas with all your strongest attacks. Ness should use his final version of PSI Rockin’. Paula should use the final version of PSI Freeze. Jeff should continue to use Multi-Bottle Rockets if he still has any left. Poo should hit Giygas with the final version of PSI Starstorm. Hopefully, you brought along items that recover PP, such at Brain Food Lunch because Ness and Poo might need a lot of PP. Eventually Pokey comes back and then you go into the second part of the final battle. In this part of the battle damage from regular attacks mean nothing. The only way to beat Giygas is with Paula’s Pray command. The group should all defend as Paula prays. If Jeff has the Defense Shower, he should use that to increase everyone’s defense power. Each time Paula prays, Giygas will be inflicted with damage. Each time you use pray, the damage doubles. If someone’s health starts to go down, you should use some form of PSI Lifeup or some of the recovery items you brought along. Remember that Paula is the most important character to be kept alive. Without her, there is no chance of winning the battle. If you can keep everyone alive and keep Paula at praying eventually you will win the battle.
